Well Judas Jonathan got more than 30 pieces of silver for his treachery, He should have gotten the hangman's noose instead of life. When he was sentenced, I knew that he would get out way too soon (life sentence HA HA what a joke) The Israelis would sooner or later find some spineless ass kissing administration to release him.

Thanks. If you read something in print or hear it on the radio, just say that. Ideally, identify the publication or radio station.

Meanwhile, they're still going after Snowden for the crime of being a whistleblower, exposing bad government behavior. Go figure.

Meanwhile, they're still going after Snowden for the crime of being a whistleblower, exposing bad government behavior. Go figure. They should go after Snowden. He's not a whistle blower, he's a thief. He stole classified information and exposed it. That is a criminal offense and I hope, should he ever return, he gets the opportunity to be incarcerated at least as long as Pollard.

He is a whistleblower who should be applauded for exposing that. I don't get this blind trust in the benevolence of government some folks have. Maybe once government was worth that trust. Now? It's just a tool the wealthy use to pick everyone else's pockets.

But........ with a SECRET agency there is no way a citizen can "play nice". The agency says it is beyond reproach or examination (they won't even state what their budget is!). In a democratic republic the citizen has no other choice but to be a "whistle blower". Thomas Drake and Snowden may be annoying to a genuine bureaucrat ( I admit) but is a necessity to those of us in the cheap seats.

Imagine how much farther Obama would have gone if not for Snowden's revelations.

On the other hand, he violated his oath, endangered or got killed unknown numbers of agents, aides, and other undercover personnel.

Perhaps the lesson is that sometimes wrongs are necessary to expose greater wrongs. If the NSA hadn't been willfully violating Americans' Fourth Amendment rights, would Snowden have done what he did? I don't know. I do know theirs was the greater wrong.
