They'd better win this one, considering the opponent, or the season is already in jeopardy.
That O-line looked very bad against Denver. Far, far from elite. They need to step it up.

You hate to call the second game of the season a must-win, but that's pretty much what it boils down to for the Ravens. It's never good to start out in an 0-2 hole.

Really what I should have said is that the offensive line must win against Oakland's defense. That's going to amount to the same thing. If that O-line can't protect Joe any better than it did, opponents just stack against the run, and make Joe beat them in the air, which he won't be able to do with no protection. And the Ravens finish 6-10 or thereabouts. Of course one must allow for the fact that Miller and Ware are quite dangerous and Denver has an excellent defense. In fact, Denver ought to be worried; Peyton didn't beat the Ravens, as he has handily in the past. Their defense did. If THAT continues their season's not going to turn out as they hoped, either.

Since 1990, a total of 205 teams have started 0-2. Only 24 rallied to make the playoffs, That sounds feasible back when teams played 12 or even 14-game schedules, but it's almost hard to believe with the current 16-game season.

When your defense doesn't bother to show up, you get embarrassed, which is what happened today. Pees should be ashamed of that performance, and every defensive player who was out there was well. Sad.

Timmy Jernigan ought to be forced to walk home from Oakland after that roughing passer penalty on Oakland's last drive. If you take four steps before hitting the quarterback, that's going to draw a flag. Utter stupidity. Compound that with Dean Pees' insistence on playing a three-man rush with a soft zone, particularly with a shaky secondary, and you've got a losing formula. The Ravens made Derek Carr look like first-ballot Hall of Famer today.
Flacco looked good for the most part, but he also missed some critical throws. The lack of a playmaker was evident as well. Smith Sr. overall had a good game, but it looked like he could have come down with both feet inbounds on that near-miss of a touchdown. That proved to be the difference. On the other side, Flacco needs to stop lofting throws and just step into it and zip it in there. Lord knows he has the arm strength. He's not Rodgers or Brady, but he needs a receiver to bail him out every once in a while. Right now that guy doesn't exist. Maybe that guy could be Campanero, who, as far as I could see, didn't see a snap from scrimmage. He can't be any worse than Marlon Brown, who is just basically taking up space at this point.
One positive was the play of the offensive line, which gave Flacco ample time for the most part and opened some decent running lanes. I think Taliaferro should be given more of a role in the running game, however. Forsett isn't bad, but he doesn't have the ability to push the pile when the hole isn't there. Taliaferro seems more capable of making something out of nothing.

If Steve Smith doesn't have an excellent season, this is a 2-14 team and there's serious talk about a change at head coach. We're used to stalwart defenses, and we do not have one any longer. We had several excellent defensive players for years and now we don't.
With a subpar defense and a mediocre offense you don't win too many football games.
Harbaugh's greatest defect as a coach might be the games he can't get both units to show up for all four quarters. The really good teams manage that.

We miss Kubiak, this OC sucks Trestman needs to adapt to the personnel he has, not the other way around. Enough with the fade routes to Steve Smith into the end zone already. You throw those to guys who stand 6-4 or 6-5, not five-foot-nine.

I wouldn't mind if they'd quit recycling fired head coaches into coordinators. Yes, I know the reason those guys even got head coaching gigs was because they were good coordinators, and that the skills needed to make the jump to head coach are different enough that not every coordinator can succeed in that role: some coordinators belong in the coordinator role and no higher. But... guys who have been around are well understood by others. How about someone who hasn't been seen, yet? I imagine Kubiak's departure caught them by surprise and they had to move quickly - his exodus was handled without class. Still...
I note without comment that no one has come asking after Dean Pees with an eye towards promotion.
