Tucker's agent obviously took his cues from Joe Linta (Flacco's agent) when he stated that Tucker had become "disillusioned" with negotiations and would absolutely not sign a long-term contract with the team after the season. (Fine, then they'll just franchise him again next year.) Eleventh-hour posturing at its finest.
Tucker is obviously worth the money, and one thing a team doesn't want to be doing is trying out kickers in Week 10 after one too many shanks. We'll see, though, if spending that kind of money for a kicker on a team that has a number of other needs is a good idea long term.
