Ravens offense is the league worst in third downs. Fins are the league best in defending third downs. That translates to a new to rely more on the pass, which has not be their strength this year. With Tucker they can probably put up some points, but if the offense can't stay on the field and keep the defense fresh for the end of the game it won't matter. Intangibles goes to the Ravens; they've had the Fins number for a few years. And they're at home.
They can win if Joe can put together a better game than he has so far. Otherwise, they will lose.

It's a winnable game for the Ravens, no question about that. But they will have to put some offensive points up and that means they will have to find a way around Miami's stout third down defense.

Arguably the best game the Ravens played all year. I was not expecting an ass-kicking.

This wasn't a case of Miami blowing it; their problem was the Ravens, who seized the initiative from the get-go and never let the Fish get going. I'm not sure whether or not the Ravens are a serious playoff contender, but there's no arguing that they played like one today.
Now, with three of the remaining four games on the road--beginning with a stop in Foxborough next Monday--the schedule gets tougher. They have to steal at least one road win, and likely two, in order to hold onto the AFC North.

The Ravens played with extreme RAY LEWIS old style game passion, something that s been missing.
They need to stick with this going forward

Keith Mills reported on a confrontation - unclear as to the details - between Joe, who wanted to be more aggressive on offense, and Mornhingweg (sp?). Some kind of back and forth in the Dolphins scheming meeting. Harbaugh offered a comment "iron sharpens iron" or something similar, suggesting that such head-butting is pretty normal. I've believed for awhile now that (1) Joe needs to take control of the offense in order to move to the next level. If he can, and (2) offensive coaching hasn't been too good, and in particular it hasn't been aggressive enough. We will see if they can sustain this. Another possibility is that Joe's knee has finally healed to the point where he has good confidence in it.
