Earlier: Rex Ryan (Bills), Gus Bradley (Jax) fired.
HC Mike McCoy out in San Diego after a lackluster campaign. GM Trent Baalke out in San Francisco, HC Chip Kelly likely to follow him out the door.
Owner Jim Haslam in Cleveland says 1-15 unacceptable but that he believes he has the pieces in place to build a winning organization; promises no significant changes. Jets will retain the services of HC Todd Bowles and GM Mike Maccagnan. Marvin Lewis says he will return next year in Cincy. Rumors swirled that he would retire at the end of the year. "Sources" say Harbaugh (signed through 2018) still has the confidence of the organization but is certain to hire a new OC. Rumor is they like Roman (formerly at Buffalo)

The 49ers will looking for their third coach in three years (and a new GM, to boot). Maybe Chip Kelly isn't NFL head coaching material, and maybe Trent Baalke's termination was warranted for failing to provide Kelly with a competitive roster, but neither Kelly nor his predecessor, Jim Tomsula, ever had a chance.
The 49ers are beginning to resemble the Bay Area's version of the Browns: drifting aimlessly from coach to coach, always going in a different direction, but never plotting a course beforehand.

Is Baalke why Harbaugh left, or did he leave to coach Michigan? I'd heard one motivator was front office friction

Is Baalke why Harbaugh left, or did he leave to coach Michigan? I'd heard one motivator was front office friction Harbaugh wanted complete control in San Francisco, like Belichick in New England or Pete Carroll in Seattle, and Baalke simply wasn't going to give it to him. The 49ers version is that the two parties reached a mutual agreement to move in different directions, but Harbaugh said not long afterward that he was told he wasn't going to be the coach any longer.

Ravens fire Assistant Offensive Line Coach (Todd Washington) and Strength and Conditioning Coach (Bob Roguki). Washington is doing his boss's penance, and the handwriting was likely on the wall for Roguki last year when they hired Director of Performance and Recovery Steve Saunders.

Castillo going to Buffalo to rejoin an old colleague there, as the OL/run game coach.
All I can say about that is: at last.

Leslie Frazier, DB coach, leaves for Buffalo. He will be the defensive coordinator there. He follows Castillo.

Ravens are hiring Greg Roman as their run game coordinator, or whatever. Whatever his role, I don't see this as a particularly good fit since Roman's offenses have been predicated on running quarterbacks like Kaepernick in San Francisco or Tyrod in Buffalo. Flacco ain't that guy.
The Ravens will have much bigger offensive issues this offseason than the job title of a family friend. Rick Wagner is projected to command as much as $8 to $10 million per annum in free agency, and if that proves to be the case, then the Ravens will need to fill the right tackle position. There also figure to be some glaring holes in the passing game if Smith Sr. is indeed hanging 'em up, and Mike Wallace becomes a cap casualty. That would leave the Ravens with Breshad Perriman as the No. 1 receiver by default.

Harbaugh does like to recycle guys who failed in other organizations a lot. It's one of the things that in recent years has led me to question his ability. Wagner is as good as gone, and if Ozzie can't replace Smith they're going to take a step backwards. And then they'll blow everything up for the '18 campaign. Regardless of what he said about not succeeding by firing people, Bis has been willing to fire people from the company that made him wealthy. And he's as much as backed himself into a corner with his state of the team address. He knows the fans are unhappy and he knows he'll have to do something about it if those below him cannot.
I imagine Ozzie has some idea about whether Smith's retirement is permanent or not (he did submit a letter to the league office), and if it's not he'll probably strive not to make Wallace a cap casualty. Any team whose #1 receiver is Perriman has a poor passing game at best, at least for now.
