Greg Williams, who really ought to be banned from any coaching billet, will be the DC for the Browns. He's most famous for taking the fall for the Saints' bounty program a few years ago. The league tried to ban him, but he got it overturned. It did cost Sean Payton his job a few years back.
So the Browns players will be headhunting now.
Disappointed in Hue Jackson for hiring this mope.

Sean Payton didn't lose his job; he was suspended for a year as coach of the Saints for failing to shut down the bounty program.

Sean Payton didn't lose his job; he was suspended for a year as coach of the Saints for failing to shut down the bounty program. You're right; I even meant to type "for a year" after that. It's still inexcusable, in my view, that Williams was allowed back in, and that Payton wasn't suspended for longer. Intentionally hurting people should never be tolerated if good sportsmanship is a goal. Of course, in the Goodell era the only goal is what makes the league richer, so I guess I answered my own criticism.
