3 years/$37m. I suppose that is not a bad deal.
let's all hope he produces some more numbers like the 1st half of last year.

I don't think this was a good move. I don't see where a power hitter whose battery runs dry by July can help this team reach the postseason. But at least he didn't break the bank.

I think this was a good value signing, provided of course, that we continue to see something comparable to the 2016 version of Trumbo. I don't think there's much argument that the Orioles' lineup is better with him than without him, and while his fielding leaves something to be desired, Trumbo does at least offer the flexibility of filling in for Davis occasionally at first and an occasional turn in the outfield (just so it isn't too many). You've got to wonder, however, how Trumbo's return affects the status of Trey Mancini, who at the very least, deserves a shot at a major league job.
I'd say the best thing about this deal is it shouldn't hinder the Orioles' ability to make other signings. I also give Duquette credit for waiting out the market and bringing back Trumbo on a more-team friendly contract.
