I'll never forgive Anderson (and whoever else was responsible) for not hiring Leach when the goldem opportunity fell on his lap. All the guy does is win while graduating nearly all of his players. Instead we are stuck with Edsall, who has 1 more career victory against Top 25 teams than I do.

If Maryland had hired Leach, the move to the Big 10 might never have happened. True, the end of Leach's time at Texas Tech wasn't great, and that certainly would have drawn greater media scrutiny. Assuming, however, that Leach stayed clear of controversy and just won games, the increased news coverage would have been a huge plus on the recruiting trail.

This MD alum finds it absolutely maddening that the Terps never fail to piss away a golden opportunity. I'm a typical Terps football fan. Will watch them on the tube, but going to Byrd is few and far between. With Leach on board, I definitely would have gone to games with all of the excitement (not to mention something called success) that he brought to the table. Instead, we give Edsall a 5 year contract, leaving fans to ask 2 things: Who? Why? My head needs another scratch.

And to think Friedgen got canned and uncerimoniously treated for what exactly? Edsall has been horrible, and now all of the tradition the Terps had with the ACC down the tubes.

Leach would have put butts in the seats and wins on the field. I can't believe if they didn't want Leach, there wasn't someone better available than Edsall? If they're smart, going into the Big 10, they'll grab a name coach to help put them on the map..
