Only on people who don’t worship the Kennedy’s. Democrats will all claim this is an unwarranted hit piece.

Notice that the headline is that Kennedy's life will be derailed. Nothing about what Mary Jo might think about the whole situation. This is just another attempt to whitewash the depravity of the Party of the KKK and it's "heros".

Perhaps the most disgusting legacy of Kennedy is he's buried at Arlington among men and women that deserved the honor. Should there be a hell he no doubt is a good candidate.

Mary Jo: "But, Teddy, what if I get pregnant?" Teddy: "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

Don't forget... this is a "MOVIE"... somebody's opinion... good or bad... truth is... BOTH were drunk... regardless of anything else, he/they ran off in the water... he got out... drunk... she didn't... sure he left the scene... there was nobody else there... neither were fully responsible for what happened... other than being responsible for getting drunk in the first place...

Hell, Obama was blaming Bush for pretty much everything right up until Trump took the oath of office. Eight effing years of blaming Bush. And these people keep screaming about how irresponsible Trump is.

The only difference is you wouldn't be doing all these contortions to try to deflect blame. And the republican would be guilty of murder.

How do you know she was drunk? It's a safe assumption that Teddy was, even though he denies it. But an autopsy was never performed on Mary Jo. Oh, that's right, you were probably at the party.

(I don't expect you to believe that but you know what I don't give, I'm sure)... and I've been to some of those "celebrations" like the one they were attending... and I'd bet my ass that both were participating in the fun... and even if she wasn't, she should not have been riding with him... and if she was "trapped" in the car, it was likely beyond his ability to get her out since he had been drinking himself...

So, anybody that gets drunk, drives off a bridge, leaves someone in the car to drown, and waits 24 hours to call the police is not responsible for the death? He was driving. Whether she was drunk or not is irrelevant. She wasn't driving. He bailed out on someone in his car, that he drove into a canal, and let her die. Period. He should have been indicted and tried on manslaughter charges if nothing else. He wasn't because he was a Kennedy, and his family could get him out of nearly anything. And he had the LR media on his side.

What, exactly, was she "guilty" of? Drunk in public? Even real people don't get busted for that if they are in a vehicle and not driving.

Word is, Redleg... that she was trapped in the car... and even after several attempts, he could not remove her from it... likely she drowned during that period of time... and she was in the car with him voluntarily... And are you sure it was 24 hours before he reported it to anyone?... ".....the story of what happened that night and why it took Kennedy some ten hours to report the accident to the local Edgartown police....."... Which is it?

I think Aboutwell's right about it being "only" 10 hours. Of course, he didn't call the police. He called his lawyer.
And, yes, I suspect he spent those 10 hours sobering up. I absolutely know that if he'd been simple Joe Nobody, he would have faced manslaughter charges-- or, at least, an investigation. Count him amongst the "rich boys" who make ordinary folks cynical about the justice system.

Be careful there, Kemmer... I'm never right with some of these folks... and Kennedy did serve a (short) sentence for leaving the scene of the accident... short, no doubt, because the court considered the fact that he was likely intoxicated... and not fully responsible for his actions... which also likely was a factor in being successful with a manslaughter charge...
