... and the media thinks a) that this is national news, and b) that it is an ominous sign for Trump. www.yahoo.com/news/democrats-score-special-election-upset-035616074.htmlSure, this seat was held by a Republican. But this is WISCONSIN. It's not a GOP stronghold. It's a bluish-purple state. And since when are state senate seats news outside of the state? Clearly, the media is DESPERATE to trumpet any Democrat win at all. It's sad... and a little disgraceful.

It's what, RJ, the 4th Democratic victory in special elections this year? For a seat that has been solidly Republican since 2001, in a district that went strongly for Trump just a year ago?
I don't see the media as desperate to trumped a Democratic win. I see the media as showing the trend. I think you're desperate to avoid the truth, that the 2018 elections are going to be tough battles and that there's a good chance the Democrats end up with majorities in both houses of Congress.

How many special elections do you think there have been in the last 12 months, including stare legislatures? Probably dozens. If the dems have only picked up 4, that's a disaster

Actually, RJ, if you'd do a little research, you'd learn that the Dems picked up 11 state legislature seats in special elections in 2017. And, in cases were the GOP won, the percentages are lower as the Dems pick up more and more voters.
The tide is changing. People are seeing Trump and the GOP(PPP) for what they are and are turning away in droves.

My Home Depot stock is exploding and those poor slobs at Apple being forced to take $2,500 bonuses after new tax law. Crumbs according to SanFranNan though.

The "media" has done nothing but lie about and trash Trump since before he was innaugurated. They simply can't accept the results of a fair and legal election, and are doing everything they can to destroy Trump, despite the fact that he's doing everything he can to repair the damage that The Puppet did to the country.

Economy has been booming for the last 7 or 8 years. And have you mentioned the Republican who was accused of sexual harrassment and, rather than face charges, took his own life? I doubt it. But that's how the GOPPPP tries to protect itself.

It didn’t start to take off until Trump, and with the new tax code, it will go faster. I haven’t been able to find information about GOP sex offenders. It’s Democrats and Hollywood types (but I repeat myself) on the front page of Yahoo every day. I don’t know what Larry Nassar’s political philosophy is, but if he has one, it’s probably leftist.

Then you're not looking very hard, RJ, just following your prejudices. How about Dan Johnson of Kentucky, not only a Republican legislator but an Evangelical pastor, who took his own life in December. Or Brandon Hixon, who resigned in October and took his life a few days ago. And don't forget the long list I posted a month or two ago, all Republicans. It's not a democratic or republican issue, and your efforts to make it seem one does nothing but show you continued bias. We expect more from you.

The one that included Strom Thurmond sleeping with the help in 1925? When he was still a Democrat? Yes. I remember that one. If it was not intended to be a joke... Well... All I can assume is you've had way too many pale ales. Yes, there are creepers in the GOP. No, they're not nearly as plentiful as their counterparts among the Democrats.

You keep telling yourself that, RJ. GOPPPP from the top down. Really? Even Roy Moore was a Dem when the activities he was accused of happened. Seems like, when Dems grow up and realize the corruption, racism, sexism, and anti Americanism of the Party of the KKK, they switch parties.

Because just an accusation, with no corroborating evidence, is enough to ruin a life. That's why the Left is using unfounded, uninvestigated accusations to shut people up. The fake news runs with the accusations 24/7, and when they are proven worthless, the "retractions" are run, maybe, once, at 0200 on a Sat morn.

You keep telling yourself that, RJ. GOPPPP from the top down. No, seriously. If all of the Dems and other liberals who have been accused of harassment did what those two Republicans did the body count in Hollywood would resemble a war crime.
