Yeah, but they mean well. No. They really don't. The Democrats hate reason with a seething passion. It's why they accuse Republicans who support the 2nd Amendment, or who have noticed that social security and Medicare need to be reformed to be sustainable of trying to kill people. It's why they accuse anyone who is uncomfortable with abortion or questions their 77 cents on the dollar wage disparity lie of misogyny. It's why they accuse bakers who don't want to put pro-gay messages on cakes of homophobia It's why they accuse every Republican ever of racism. Labeling people they don't understand with hate-filled epithets is what they call reason and logic. In reality, it's ignorance and evil. More of your hate-filled biased rants, RJ. Democrats don't hate reason. They just don't see much on the right. I personally have no problem with the second amendment. But I read an article earlier today pointing out that we've had 10 or 15 school shooting so far this year (in 24 days). How many have you heard about? Same article also noted that states with stricter gun control laws have less shooting deaths states with looser gun control laws. Sounds like a bit a reason there that the conservatives with their heads up their butts don't want to deal with. Abortion is the law of the land. I'm personally opposed to it, but it is the law of the land. Have you ever read Roe v Wade to find out the basis for the decision? Maybe that would help you figure out how to attack the issue to have abortion laws struck down. But the conservatives seem to working from emotion, not reason. I know you believe wage disparity is not a real issue. That's your problem, and shows you lack of research and unwillingness to research the issue. I don't accuse every Republican of racism. Abraham Lincoln was not a racist. But a lot of statements and actions show that people are, in fact, racist. You, against all reason, insist on giving people a pass. Much like you continue to give the President a pass for his sexual escapades. (How muich was that prostitute paid to keep quiet?). In reality, the ignorance is on the conservative side who try to sieze the high ground and set themselves up as morally superior when they really have no idea what they're talking about. As you continue to do. I really hope you can find a more balanced and objective viewpoint some day. But I think you're so wrapped up in yourself and your narrow-mindedness that you never will. Your loss.

You wouldn’t know what any of those are, if you got hit upside the head with them. Add a freakish obsession with everything racial, gender, and sexual orientation, and a total lack of tolerance to the lack of reason, logic and reality, and you have described the majority of registered Democrats. As you continue to show your deep bias, RJ. You have no tolerance for people who have other viewpoints. You can't even discuss without slinging mud at the other side. However, I have to admit, I think I have shown a great tolerance to your lack of reason, logic, and reality, a description that more accurately applies to the majority of conservatives. No, PAM, you haven't. The conversation always devolves into racism or some other form of bigotry to you. Or alternatively some variation on the "Republicans wantt to kill X." Just like it does with every other liberal/Democrat when you can't defend your insane opinions using reason. You are what you claim to hate, and what's more you're blind to it.

It is sad how intellectually bankrupt, ignorant and predictable the Democrat party has become.
I started this thread with the observation that the Democrats default position on everything is to blame the GOP and bigotry for everything. And all of PAM's comments have simply proven my point.
Hell, the Democrats don't even want DACA. They just want an issue to run on. No one has even made a legislative proposal to make it law. I guess they want the Republicans to do that for them.

Your loss. Literally none of this is true. Roe v. Wade was supposedly a privacy issue. But overturning it would not end abortion. It would simply give the issue back to the state's. It isn't the law of the land, either. It's a court decision. Wage disparity isn't an issue. It only exists in left-wing radical fever swamps. When education and experience are factored in, and women are doing the same job as men, there is no disparity. As for Trump's escapades, you guys gave up the right to comment on that when you gave Clinton a pass for useing Monica Lewinski as a humidor and raping Kathleen Willey. The Clintons normalized Trump's behavior. If this sort of thing actually bothered you, you never would have run Bill's primary enabler against Trump. Guess I should have added RAGING HYPOCRISY to the list of defining characteristics of Democrats.

I don't care what Trump did. What I don't like is that you continue to give him a pass. You refuse to even consider holding him accountable. Clinton was impeached over his conduct. Again, your raging hypocrisy and double standard.
And I didn't run anybody against Mr. Trump -- I couldn't make the convention this year.

So it relied on the eminations and penumbras of the 4th Amendment's right to privacy, that was not the basis? Keep talking yourself into a logic knot. It's hilarious. Really? Link me to one that takes into account that 95% of on the job deaths are men. Clinton was impeached for perjury. He is also credibly accused of multiple rapes, never mind just the misconduct with White House interns. And HE KEPT HIS JOB. Trump hasn't been credibly accused of rape, or anything improper in the White House. He has been accused of being a little grabby (and at least some of those accusations have been debunked by eyewitnesses). He has also been accused of extra-marital affairs prior to being elected. You know which President normalized that? THOMAS JEFFERSON. I have said multiple times that Trump is a clown, and an embarrassment. Not a damn thing can be done about it. Any chance of an impeachment was voted down by Senate Democrats during the Clinton administration. Want me to vote for someone else in 2020? Don't nominate someone worse. HINT: Biden is every bit as grabby as Trump.

While Roe v Wade did define a right to privacy (a claim that many people find dubious), the basis for the decision was the fact that an unborn, by not being born, is not a person in the eyes of the Constitution, and therefore the rights that flow from the Constitution do not flow to the unborn. Rather surprised you don't know that, RJ. Guess you're not as smart as I thought you were.
Yea, I've heard of Thomas Jefferson. I actually worked with one of his descendants a few years back, someone descended from Sally Hennings (if I have that name right). I don't know if Jefferson "normalized" that sort of behavior -- it was a different era 200 years ago -- and I'd hate to think that anyone normalized such behavior.
Yes, Trump is a clown, and an embarrassment. Nothing can be done? There are things that can be done about it. You refuse to face any alternatives. In the meantime, we've become a laughing stock around the world. Our national prestige around the world is falling. Our influence on the world stage is falling.
Trump is an embarrassment. And a liar. And that's the main problem. He can't be trusted. There's been no collusion with the Russians . . . but, given his history of almost continual lying, this might be another lie on his part. The tax bill will have no impact on him . . . other than he'll save millions in business taxes. The media reports "fake news" . . . or is the media accurate and his tweets the real fake news?
What's even more of an embarassment are those people who say that there's nothing that can be done about him, who put up with his crap and defend his every move, even though they claim he's an embarassment. That's hypocritical.

Was it a different era 60 years ago when Kennedy was doing it? How about 20 years ago when the husband of the most recent Democrat presidential candidate was doing it? Obviously your only actual problem with It now is that Trump is doing it. Ok. Put up or shut up. What can be done about it? ROTFLMAO! What planet are you on? On Earth, Trump snuffed out ISIS. We’re only a laughingstock to countries that still think they can run their economies on windmills and solar. Until this last year, the government was run by a pack of massive liars. The media that protected them is still full of massive liars. Trump’s lies have a remarkable habit of being more truthful than the media tells you they are, like the wiretapping in Trump Tower, and the insane corruption of the deep state trying to pull off a soft coup. Again, put up or shut up: what can be done?

What can be done? In a few words, (1) Congress can stand up to him; (2) he can be impeached; (3) Mueller can bring charges against him. Most likely #3.
Of course, you can't see anything that can be done, which is not surprising. You're a Trump sycophant. Whatever he says is Gospel truth. Unfortunately, most of what he says is a completely falsehood. You just can't see it. Hope you wise up some day soon. But I doubt you will.

Labeling people they don't understand with hate-filled epithets is what they call reason and logic. In reality, it's ignorance and evil. RJ, don't conflate the memes produced by the (extremely well-paid!) political advertising industry with the thoughts and feelings of every registered member of the Democratic party. Calling them ignorant and evil will not make them question themselves-- or listen to any argument that follows-- anymore than calling Republicans "deplorable" did. IMHO opinion, everyone in America wants life here in the future for our children and grandchildren to be better than it is today-- or, at least, no worse. (For other people's grandchildren, too-- as all children here are American children, therefore "our" children. Even the childless have posterity, in the cultural sense.) We are Americans, and so we tend to be utopians. That was hardwired in our DNA at our founding. We don't believe our lives are predetermined by Fate. We don't believe "God" selected an aristocracy to rule over us by "divine right." (Hell, even our Roman Catholics are thoroughly "protestantized" on that one. Sure, they'll honor the Pope, but not when it comes to birth control pills.) We are not patient. That's in our DNA, too. We call it having a "can do" attitude. When we see something wrong in our nation, we want it fixed-- today! (Yesterday would be better, but we haven't yet invented a time machine. Just say, "tomorrow" is not satisfactory.) The differences come from exactly HOW to achieve utopia. Government-- GOOD government-- really can do quite a lot. The Democrats are currently the party of government. Trouble is, they believe government can do EVERYTHING, without any input from the governed. (Well, not exactly. Most of the leaders consider the members of AFSCAM, the Democrats' largest supporter, as the "governed." But, given the need for support, the party leaders will listen and reward them.) I can see their point. Sometimes, when I watch our political farce, I long for Enlightened Despotism, too. The Pubs have a problem the Dems had a few decades ago-- too many warring factions. This is, really, a problem for the Democratic Party. The Dems can count on everyone who wants Big Brother to grant them special goodies or else SAVE THEM (often, from themselves.) The Pubs have to deal with the fundamentalist Christians, the free market absolutists (who consider the hand of the markets to be the hand of some god), the libertarian wing (who don't give a rat's ass about who chooses to sleep with whom, or how many women they don't know choose to have an abortion), the paleo-isolationists, the "American Century" neo-cons, the anti-hispanic-immigrant "nativists", the small-business doodles who just want to earn a living without a lot of red tape, the "law and order" types who want peaceful streets where children (even in the slums) can play until the streetlights come on... For building the next level of utopia, they have the best chance. After all, the Pubs are now the party with "diversity". Building coalitions, finding common cause amongst disparate groups is what democracy requires. It's messy, and often fails. However, we've lasted far longer than our European foregenitors thought we would. Maybe, we have another couple hundred years to run, edging always closer to that glimmering utopia. But, remember, the Democrats really want the exact, same utopia we desire-- the city on the hill, beacon to free people everywhere, with opportunity for ALL (etc, etc, etc.) Just call them "The Loyal Opposition." Give their positions a bit of respect. They are neither idiots, nor "evil"; just Americans, thinking about a better future.

Now, somebody should tell the Dem leadership that Congress is an independent branch of our THREE-branch government, and not a campaigning unit for our TWO-party system. The role of our Senators and Congressmen should NOT be to put their party's guy in power! Really, the reason we even have someone called a "president" was because we needed a new term, one that clearly stated that the guy in the chair was NOT powerful.(Yeah, you can look that up. "President" was a title meant to show how limited the executive branch was.) It was the elected officials who were supposed to tell him what to do-- preside over enacting the laws THEY PASSED. Hmmm... maybe the Dems should run Sean Penn or Adam Sandler for Prez next election. No... they should run a black woman! Whoopie Goldberg 2020! (We can talk about reducing the power of our entrenched two parties during the 2022 mid-terms.)

Meh. I truly believe that most liberals believe what they do for the best of intentions, misguided as they are. They just don't realize that the people they support in power do have evil intentions and could care less about their supporters. But I guess the same could be said of those of us on the right (except for the misguided part, of course). No, BB, I'd keep misguided in there. When a party tries for 7 years to repeal and replace a law, then gets the power to do so but has no replacement (isn't 7 years long enough to figure it out?), misguided is very light. When you talk about evil intentions (the war on women's health care, e.g.), you're talking misguided. When you introduce a tax bill, talk about what it will do, and then find out it does something else, you're either misguided or misguiding. But it's a good word for the right. You mean like people getting to keep more of the money they earn? Yes, it's terrible that people are actually being forced to accept bonuses, higher pay, and lower taxes. I don't know why we have to accept such abuse. As for Puppettax, he made sure that the Feds insinuated themselves so deeply in so many areas that it's very hard to disengage without doing even more harm than Puppettax did.

As you continue to do. I really hope you can find a more balanced and objective viewpoint some day. But I think you're so wrapped up in yourself and your narrow-mindedness that you never will. Your loss. And every one of those falls directly at the feet of the Democrats and their Communist puppeteers. They have prohibited morality from being taught in schools, prohibited religion from being seen anywhere outside of a church, and used Hollywood to degrade morality to the level of child molesters and rapists. They have inculcated the entitlement mentality so deeply in kids from birth that it's no wonder a kid that doesn't get what he wants, or feels "disrespected" decides to shoot someone. It's right out of the Democrat playbook. Abortion may be the "law of the land", but it's amazing how that law is sacrosanct, but no others. If "privacy" is a Constitutional right, why do firearms owners have to go through background checks to exercise an actually enumerated right? Or is that simply "nuance"? Leftists "interpreting" the law so it only benefits them? There is no wage disparity. Women often choose to stay home to care for children, losing seniority. Are you implying that businesses should keep paying them, or maintain their seniority when they are out of the work force for several years? Women also often choose lower paying careers. Should they be forced into engineering, mathematics, or some other field, just to assuage the Left's insanity? Lincoln was a racist. He had no intention of freeing the slaves, but he was a pragmatist. He realized that freeing the slaves from the Democrats was a way to end the Civil War quicker. And the racism is almost exclusively on the Left. Notice that your masters only refer to people by their race? And only complain about "immigration" restrictions on 'brown people'? That's because they know that bringing in more Asians would ruin their plan to destroy the country. So would bringing in more Eastern Europeans. The right has no need to "seize the high ground". We already have it, because we don't believe in government controlling the population, rather the population controlling the government. And that's why you scream "RACIST" at everyone all the time. You have no cogent arguments, so you have to use epithets to end the conversation.

That's hypocritical. No, we are reviving our stature, that The Puppet threw away. Nations are realizing that Trump means what he says, and that he's for America first. He's not apologizing for the US, nor is he bowing to our enemies. We have the traitor and gigolo Kerry telling Abass that he shouldn't bother listening to Trump, that he should only attack Trump personally, and that Trump won't be there more than a year. This is The Puppet's alleged Sec State. So, we have The Puppet putting a felon, then a traitor in as Sec State, and you are surprised that Trump can't undo the damage they did in just a year? When the 'media' simply makes up "news", but only if it might hurt Trump, or relies on "unnamed sources", IOW some drunk at a bar they frequent, yes, they are airing fake news. When they outright lie, like saying that it was Trump's, or the Pub's fault the government was shut down, they are airing fake news. When they refuse to report on the successes Trump has had, or reports on them, then gives The Puppet the credit, they are airing fake news. Trump doesn't lie, at least not like The Puppet did. Everything that came out of The Puppet's mouth was a lie, including "and" and "the". And you worship him.

Mueller is running an illegal "investigation", because the law requires an actual crime to be investigated. There is no crime Trump, or anyone in his campaign, is accused of. NONE. That means Mueller has no authority to charge anyone with anything. "Collusion" is not a crime. There is no "obstruction of justice", unless you are talking about Comey, Sztroch, The Felon, and Mueller. Trump had every authority to fire Comey, for any reason, or none at all. The entire "investigation" is a result of The Felon losing the election, then making up a story about "collusion". You have to have an actual crime for impeachment. Like perjury, which a RINO, Graham, made sure wasn't one of the charges in Waco Billy Boy's impeachment. Trump hasn't committed perjury. The Felon did, Comey did, and Mueller probably did. "Congress" would be out in the streets if they "stood up" to Trump. Trump is doing exactly what he, and the Pub Congressmen were elected to do. Your idea of "standing up" to Trump means they should be Democrats, and simply do what they want, instead of what they promised when running for election. IOW, you want the Pubs to be the liars, traitors, and criminals that the Dems are.

But, remember, the Democrats really want the exact, same utopia we desire-- the city on the hill, beacon to free people everywhere, with opportunity for ALL (etc, etc, etc.)
Just call them "The Loyal Opposition." Give their positions a bit of respect. They are neither idiots, nor "evil"; just Americans, thinking about a better future. I must respectfully disagree with you on this. The Democrats, at least their leadership, has shown that they don't care a bit about the Americans that elected them. They want unlimited "immigration", because they know that nearly all those "immigrants" will vote Democrat. What that does to the Americans, they couldn't care less about. They have even said that "their only focus, all their energy" is for illegal Democrats. They are essentially saying that their constituents don't matter, that only illegals matter to them. That's sedition, if not outright treason. They have spent millions of dollars on an illegal "investigation" to reverse a legal election, and to undermine the President. They based their "investigation" on a lie, that they knew was a lie, because they made it up. From the "hacking" of the DNC computers, to "collusion", there is no crime. The DNC computers were never hacked, that was a lie. There was no collusion, except by The Felon, so that was a lie. The leadership of the Democrat Party are traitors, and criminals. They are evil.

An absolute non-response, RJ. Put uip or shut up? I've done it. You keep posting the same ole pro-Trump crap. You admire someone who lies and whe is a sexual predator. 1 isn't an option because Congress and the White House need to work together if they're going to keep the country running. And what will they stand up to him on? Stupid tweets? 2 what are you going to impeach him for? 3 what will Mueller charge him with? If this is what you're going to "put up" you should shut up before you embarrass yourself further.

They want to impeach Trump for not being Obama. Every policy they have is about further dividing this country by race, gender, orientation, etc. They're actively undermining civilization. They either know this, in which case they're evil. Or they're so consumed with their own tribalism they haven't the slightest idea what's going on, in which case they're ignorant.

Not every democrat is equal. In my opinion, some people pick R or D just so they have a voice in the primaries. The democratic platform has shifted significantly and I suspect it has abandoned many voters who have not bothered to switch or drop their affiliation.
Why can't someone be pro-choice but anti illegals? Or how about anti-gun but pro private school choice? Why do voters have to be boxed into a predefined set of views?

No, RJ, (as usual) you miss the mark.
No one wants to impeach Trump for not being Obama. But maybe for carrying on an affair in the White House (as was recently published). Maybe for his continuing violation of the emouluments clause (which is still the law of the land, though you refuse to believe it). Maybe for obstruction of justice or for collusion -- but that depends of what Mueller finds out in his investigation, which is ongoing. Or maybe just for his continual and continued untruthfulness and his dragging America down, making us a laughing stock around the world.
But the more Trump claims his innocence, the more convinced I am that there's something there that he's trying to hide. Again, we'll have to wait for Mr. Mueller to complete his investigation and see what, if anything, he finds out.

We've all complex people and a mixture of views. I would add that not every republican is equal either. And I think that there are people who register as a member of a party with no idea what the party stands for. It's just something that certain families or communities do.

If you mean the one Michael Wolfe is claiming, he's not exactly the most credible person. Even so, the opportunity to impeach a President over sex ended with Bill Clinton. There is zero evidence Trump colluded with Russia. What evidence there is, all points to Trump rejecting Russian advances. There is also zero evidence of emoluments clause violations. And this is exactly what I'm talking about. All these personal fantasies of yours are not grounds for impeachment. You want him gone because he's not as Democrat, so you've made up a bunch of garbage. You're not alone either. Most of the Democrat party has done the same.

Are you a friend of Mueller's? Or of someone on his staff? If your answer is no (which I expect), then how do you know there is no evidence of any collusion with Russia? Neither Mueller nor anyone on his staff has said anything one way or the other. The matter is still being investigated. I don't know how you can claim no evidence when no one knows if there's any evidence or not.
And no evidence of emoluments violations? While he's still making money from foreign countries? When foreign embassies have moved events from one venue to a Trump venue? But, I remember, you know nothing about legal matters or the law.
I've said before that I don't want Trump gone because he's a Republican or because he's not a Democrat. I want him gone because he's bad for the country. I want him gone for what he's doing and will continue to do to our foreign relations. I want him gone because he constantly lies and distorts. Usually a President is someone we can look up to. We may not like his policies, but we can respect the man and the office (except for the Commie, who has no respect for almost everyone). But I can't respect Trump as a person. I will refer to him as Trump or as President Trump or the President out of respect for the office. But there's little about the man (whom you have called a clown) that deserves anyone's respect.
