Strange how they were going to give Comey, and gave The Felon, a complete pass, along with McCabe, but want to fry Flynn. I guess you have to be a Party of the KKK commissar to be allowed to lie to the FBI.

They are grasping at straws, and their entire case is going up in smoke.

The Manafort case could turn into a disaster for Mueller. The original judge had to recuse himself because of a pre-existing relationship with Peter Strzok. His replacement appears to be concerned that the DOJ has withheld exculpatory evidence, like they did in the Ted Stevens persecution. Speaking of Stevens, it's weird that #theresistance thinks Trump has tried to discredit the DOJ. They don't need his help. They've been shaming themselves and bringing disgrace on their agency ever since AG Holder.

Well, Mueller, in his stint at the FBI, apparently acquitted himself less than stellarly during the anthrax investigation, and again with the hiring of his "prosecutors" for this witch hunt.

He certainly didn't consider conflicts of interest in hiring hard-core Democrat partisans to persecute Trump. The only good news on that front is that if he comes to his senses and closes out the fraud that is his investigation, it will be apparent to everyone who isn't a mindless Democrat partisan that the investigation couldn't have been more thorough.

I don't think he can afford to do that. He has too much invested, and is far too liable for all sorts of lawsuits, even criminal investigations. His only hope is to find something, ANYTHING, on someone really close to Trump that he can parlay into his one exoneration.

Rudy is a former federal prosecutor himself. Ideally he can talk some sense into Mueller using language Mueller understands.

One can hope, but I think Mueller is in far to deep to close out his investigation now, unless he can manufacture some crime or other against someone, anyone, in the Trump administration.

The problem with that is the more they reach, the more they implicate themselves. As we already discussed, if Flynn is the standard for lying to the FBI, then both McCabe and Comey (at least) have to go down because the cases against them are stronger than the case against Flynn. Even Strzok said he didn't think Flynn was being intentionally deceptive.

The difference is, Comey and McCabe know where the bodies are buried, and if he actually goes to trial, a lot of dirty laundry will come out. Neither the DOJ nor the FBI want that to happen. I predict extreme pretzelitis to make sure that none of the principals ever face a judge and jury, and that Mueller continues his "investigation" simply because he doesn't know how to let go of the tiger's tail.

I would have been concerned about that prior to the OIG investigation, but it's a little late for that. Plus McCabe and Comey are contradicting each other now. People keep thinking Cohen or Flynn will flip on Trump. I'd be much more worried about McCabe flipping on Comey.

Remember, he mainly covered The Felon's fake investigation, and some of the "collusion" investigation.

That's apparently where the idea to use the Steele Dossier for a FISA warrant came from.

Clapper as well, since he was involved in the spying on the Trump campaign.
