While I agree with you to a point, the problem is, how do we do that? Parties provide the framework for those that want to run for Federal office. Without that framework, we would have hundreds, if not thousands, of people running for every position, every election. Only those that can raise enough money to get their heads above the noise would even have a chance of being elected. We would have an even worse case of our government being owned by those rich enough to buy a candidate's way into office. Government selected by plurality. Hmmmm sounds familiar. How do you get a plurality, when you have possibly hundreds, or thousands of candidates? How do any of them break out of the pack, to get noticed? It all sounds great, but the practical restrictions would keep anyone except current politicians, or their handpicked successors, from earning any office.

Apparently nothing if we're obsessing over Nationals tickets. So he should release the records Just as soon as The Puppet releases his school records.
