Details are still on the sketchy side on this still developing story, but it appears that a concealed carrier shot and killed a robber, then another shooter pulled a gun and shot someone else during the commission of a robbery in Grand Rapids, Michigan: A man with a concealed-weapons permit shot and killed an alleged robber in an incident outside of a New York Fried Chicken restaurant that ultimately left two men dead, investigators said Thursday. The two related shootings occurred around 12:45 a.m. Oct. 31 at 734 S. Division Ave. One of the people killed was the robbery suspect, police have said. His name has not been released. The robber was dead at the scene, while the victim shot afterward appears to have died at the hospital. The incident occurred following a concert and the area seems as it it was saturated with people, so the police are still sorting out testimony. The story indicates that the concealed carrier did not draw his weapon until the robber turned his gun on him, and he has not been charged. bearingarms.com/concealed-carrier-kills-robber-in-michigan/

We only have half the story here. Who was the second gunman and who was the other person killed?

I hope an innocent bystander wasn't killed by a gung ho hero wannabe. That side of the story seems to be very... quiet.

I'll wager most folks hope they never have to use a gun to defend themselves. Just like most folks probably think they will never be sued for liability when someone is on their property. Yet, those prudent individuals carry liability insurance just in case...

I have guns. I have a shotgun sitting in my closet. But it's not a very important issue with me. I am not going to vote whether or not my gun is gonna be taken away. I don't fear that is going to be taken away. I'm not going to vote for some whacked out right-winger, on the single issue of guns, who winds up doing nothing about guns and but ends up being a typical Republican. I really do believe the guns are a red herring issue. That's my opinion.

For instance, folks who have had to give up their guns because of a law that banned them. It has happened in the U.S.A., but this topic has been discussed at length on both the BS forum and the SSL one, so there's no need to rehash it.

I really don't care what people say about guns anymore. I have my own opinion. Sometimes one's own personal thoughts to do transcend what constitutions or other rules and laws say.

Once halfway, the perp was cutting the window glass, i moved the curtain while armed and he ran. And it never matters, always be ready. How many times have you used a fire extinguisher in your home?

I don't have a fire extinguisher in my home.

Let Alaska start passing onerous restrictions like Maryland has, and get back to us. Just like I give less than a half a cr@p about ANWAR being drilled and paved over since I live over 4000 miles away and will only see benefit of lower gas prices, it's easy for you to give less than half a cr@p about gun laws that don't affect your ability to defend yourself or bear arms.

So is extinguisher....but kitchen fires are common. Everyone should at least have one in the kitchen.

Exactly, I have never used my fire extinguishers and hope I never have to but fires do happen and I am prepared.
