Tomlin steps into field of play and forces Jones to lean into a tackle while running? The film shows it.
And it's a NO call? WTF? The crowd is going ballistic

The last throw to Heath Miller just illustrated how valuable a reliable tight end can be.
Looks like the touchdown is actually going to be ruled down on the one-yard line.

Two plays stand out from this game. Shawn Suisham's botched field goal in the first half on what would have been a very makeable kick, and Flacco's completion to Torrey Smith on third-and-long on the Ravens' final possession. It didn't get a first down, but it at least moved the Ravens close enough for Tucker to kick what proved to be the winning field goal.
At 6-6, the Ravens are certainly in a better position than they were two weeks ago. Next week's game with the woeful Vikings looms as a potential "trap" game. It's one they should win easily and need to win regardless because it gets tougher after that. Two road dates in Detroit and Cincinnati and a visit from Brady and the Pats on the penultimate week.

A 6-6 team with a trap game. Sounds strange but true.

What bothered me tonight was seeing the Ravens' defense again fail to get off the field at the end of the game. Twenty points off three long touchdown drives in the second half is not a good half. The Steelers were banged up on the offensive line, yet the Ravens couldn't get to Roethlisberger the entire night. Part of that was due to the Steelers' play calling--quick throws and misdirection plays to mitigate their offensive line issues--but still and all, I thought Dean Pees got outcoached in the second half. I'm not a fan of his schemes.
Unless I missed something, where was Arthur Brown tonight? It seemed like he barely left the sideline.

The crowd is going ballistic After the game, Jones was asked about it (while munching on a turkey leg). He laughed and said that he'd probably do the same thing in those circumstances. Jones should've run right smack into Tomlin when Tomlin's foot was on the field of play.

I wouldn't call it a train wreck; injuries and errors on the side of the Steelers still resulted in a very harrowing two minutes at the end.

Jones should've run right smack into Tomlin when Tomlin's foot was on the field of play. The players are getting pretty well schooled as to what not to say to keep controversy at a minimum. After watching the Jacoby/turkey leg interview, and another where he was just up in front of a crowd of reporters, you could tell he was saying "I saw it, you saw it, the fans saw it, and Mike Tomlin sure as hell saw it. Anyone that says that wasn't deliberate is full of sh*&^t, and we both know it". Flacco was the only one to speak right to the issue, and he pulled no punches. Tomlin should have been called for interference, and the play ruled a TD, even if he might have been caught anyway. That kind of behavior cannot be allowed. Shades of that coach in Philly who stuck his foot out and TRIPPED an opposing player running along the sideline. That SOB should have been bounced from pro football so hard (and publicly) that he couldn't get a job coaching a Pop Warner team full of 8-year-olds. /rant

If I had to bet on a superbowl winner I'd probably take the Seahawks, but you can't count out a lot of other teams, including the Ravens. It's been typical that the SB winner has been the team that gets hot at the right time. The Seahawks look really good, but I could easily see them losing in the playoffs if they don't have HFA throughout.

Anyone who has been paying attention for the past several years that Ravens/Steelers games result in very few style points. Win ugly and move on. The Ravens absolutely, positively needed to win this game for any reasonable hope of the playoffs. The fact that the victory helped to put another nail in Pittsburgh's coffin was just extra gravy on the taters.
Question for hte looming Detroit game: If Jimmy Smith is recovered from his concussion, which CB do you put on the best WR in the NFL?

Tomlin should have been ejected, and Jacoby awarded a touchdown. In 40 years of watching football, I have never seen anything so callous and blatant from a coach.
The REF's should be fined and suspended as well
