The man's legacy is possibly going to be worse than that of "Jimmuh Cawteh." 'Nuff said. I think he passed that milepost awhile back. A little before he passed "worse that George W. Bush" who was, until this man, the worst president of my life. OK, point taken. However you can't blame George II for using his power to get back at Saddam Hussein; after all, Saddam tried to have George H.W. Bush assassinated. I thought that was an impressive feat, the U.S. electorate placing G.W. in the Oval Office; giving Bush II to use the power of this country to crush Saddam, even though Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. After that, Obama nailed Bin Laden (with the help of some Navy Seals) and claimed credit for it all. Funny though, as of yesterday, US drones nailed another Taliban terrorist, Pakistan issues their standard disclaimer, but not a word from our Excuser-In-Chief. It's a tough world we live in, friend. Sometimes it's hard to figure out who is wrong and who is right.

So, a lot of people will get to sit around, feeling important and eating free shrimp and crabcakes. Sounds like a plan!

Aha! You're (indirectly) blaming Bush! Stop with that nonsense! Not necessarily. Sometimes people try to fix things that ain't broke! I think we're better off figuring out how to live with climate change rather than figuring out how to make the planet "the way it was". (The way it was... when?) Except... we aren't sure what the effects will be. They keep saying dozens of huge hurricanes every year, but they don't arrive. There are subgestions that rainfall patterns will change, but nobody knows what the new patterns will be. Rising sea levels? Do not encourage expensive beach-front buildings via federal insurance funding. That'd be a start. Has anyone modeled grain prices once all that frozen tundra is available to grow wheat? I think it's a tad early to go to the expense of excavating Baltimore to put all the buildings up on stilts in anticipation of the port moving to Towson. Probably too early to get a gondola and a striped shirt in order to ferry tourists to the convention center, too. (Although, contemplating what the Patomac becoming an estuary in its own right and washing away everthing within twenty miles of its mouth is ... umm... a happy fantasy?)

This is for the folks who dine well at 5-star hotels to solve "world hunger." You'll note that the committee is all governors, mayors, or county officials. People with expertise in the affected fields (farmers, engineers, et al) are not invited.

Born and worked on a farm for 19 years, Navy veteran for 4 years, worked construction for 12 (and earned a degree in my spare time!). I've been an occupational safety professional of over 32 years and have never been invited to a political fundraiser. Back in '84, or thereabout, I do recall our beloved Willie Don addressing us @martins' West, however, no one (including Willie Don) knew what he was talking about. I'm 61 years old now, worn out but still full of fight (on a good day). I'm not being sarcastic. I understand your words. Thanks for responding. Thanks, Kemmer. I needed to hear that there is still someone out there that knows.

Please allow me to give you my take on it, Sir; Even though I didn't vote for him; I quietly "wished him luck" when he was elected, hoping for the best. However never on God's green Earth did I ever believe that he would screw things up this badly. The man's legacy is possibly going to be worse than that of "Jimmuh Cawteh." 'Nuff said. I agree. I voted for him first time - sorry I did!! Worst president ever. Only the die-hard delusional left worship him. That's probably true and really not saying much

No different then a state function in Ocean City put on by transportation dept at the Carousel I attended maybe 5 years ago. Accountants, geeks, academics, planners..... door prizes (we got the 129 dollar crock pot) and that was the last time I had true jumbo crabs, paid open bar. Attendance was mandatory, state funds at work. I was actually overwhelmed and astounded at the waste. A few months later another was held in Annapolis, again mandatory attendance for employee this time around. Wife said I probably would have loved the soft crabs and oysters..... O'Malleys speech, not so much.

This Marxist maggot has far exceeded Carter and anyone else as a candidate for the worst president in our history. The previous incumbents, as bad as they may have been, could say that they were at least trying to do well for us. This guy is undoing the American Revolution one day at a time - through Executive Order, by refusing to enforce existing laws and through demonizing any who dare to oppose his Marxist Agenda. He bypasses Congress with impunity, he castigates the Supreme Court, the highest Court of our land and a co-equal branch of our Government, on those rare occasions when it tries to stand against him, and he is effectively castrating our military with the repeal of DADT, the systematic purge of Generals and Admirals who fail to Goose-step to his tune, and his imposition of crippling ROE's on our soldiers serving in battle.
I'll probably be in the ground before the inevitable results of this treasonous conduct come to fruition, but my children will not grow up in the free land that I remember from my youth!

Esp. knowing now that Biden is even dumber than Palin- the reason I didn't vote for McCain first election.

Them ? They? Personally to heck with all this climate change. We just need to lessen pollution anyway. We need to stop wasting oil so much. This is obvious. We aren't going to be able to drill ourselves out of this there is not enough oil left. They would've gotten it by now. The only oil it's left is an all very hard to get to areas. Some just don't want to stop being nannied. they love oil, and the super cushy lifestyle it brings them these days.

Drill, frack, drill, frack, drill, and frack away!! Now I agree that smog and such is bad for health- and if we went electric cars, well, more natural gas plants and nukes will be needed. Someday, maybe, solar will catch up. Wind is great if you don't mind pureeing the birdies.

One day someone will come up with a really efficient battery and then energy needs may lessen...

You think China cares about global warming? They got cities full of smog and pollution that harm the enviroment. The president should discuss with them how to improve their air quality

One day someone will come up with a really efficient battery and then energy needs may lessen... No, it just means that we can store it easier, the same energy needs will be there. It might mean that nuclear is more useful because the electric car might be a reality.
