NEW YORK – During a panel at Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening, Sheldon Adelson, noted businessman and owner of the newspaper Israel Hayom, suggested that the US should use nuclear weapons on Iran to impose its demands from a position of strength. The whole Mid-east is a no-win situation. Iran can't really threaten us....if they ever did attack US troops or citizens, we'd level them. And they know it.

Perhaps Mr. Adelson should pump some more of his resources into Israel so they can take that giant leap for mankind (no slam intended at Israel, just Mr. Adelson). It really irritates me when something threatening happens in the world in current times and all of the European news reports are screaming headlines of "Let's wait to see what the US does." continually. Please, feel free to be first stepping up to the plate for a change. Geographically, I do believe you are a bit closer to this threat.

Perhaps Mr. Adelson should pump some more of his resources into Israel so they can take that giant leap for mankind (no slam intended at Israel, just Mr. Adelson). It really irritates me when something threatening happens in the world in current times and all of the European news reports are screaming headlines of "Let's wait to see what the US does." continually. Please, feel free to be first stepping up to the plate for a change. Geographically, I do believe you are a bit closer to this threat. We put ourselves in the position to be the answer to the Middle East. I don't see the Europeans screaming about what a Uruguay might do .  |

Although I do agree we need to extract ourselves from the Middle East. Sadly, we're in too deep at this point. I don't think we're in too deep. It just takes a wake up call. Like, what the heck are we trying to accomplish? The fact there is no clear vision of victory should tell any person of intelligence this is a very bad "war". The disasters you mentioned are real and immediate. |

Uruguay has little we need and nothing we need as badly as we need energy. This is also true of Europe, which needs energy as badly as we do (though not as much because of population size and land area). |

We dont need the amount of energy we use. Haha that came out funny. But until people realize this endless usage of free and easy energy for fun and games and toys has a steep price, including wars and pollution, nothing will change.

Exactly what energy do we use that we don't need to use? As I said earlier, no strategy that involves losing creature comforts people have grown accustomed to is going to get much traction. Tell people they can't have air conditioning, and they will dismiss you. And so on. To work, a strategy must be realistic, not idealistic. |

Israel is our friend and Allie, they deserve our support. I disagree. They produce more things of value to the world than most (perhaps all) Arab countries, but they do that for themselves, not for us. What they mostly export to us is problems. |

I support the destruction of their government 100% if they attack. Nuking....well, that's too far....I can't imagine using nukes on other humans unless they nuke us first....not that its any worse to die by bullets....just that using a nuke could start WWIII. |
