Palealeman... telling it like it is to a bunch of fence posts... a waste of time... which is why this board has been killed by such... They will still swear up and down that Obama never attended Harvard and Hilary ran a pedophile ring from Ping Pong Pizza....... The pizza thing was probably a Party of the KKK plant, to embarrass Pubs. You still haven't shown any proof whatsoever that The Puppet went to Harvard, or any other college. Where are his grades? Where are the papers he wrote? Where are all the other students that went to class with him? Where are his professors declaring that he was "the most brilliant student I ever taught"?

Did you read that Wiki article? 8% are provably false - these are the cases that were filed maliciously. Most studies show that about 40% of rape claims are unverifiable. These are the he-said-she-said claims. Cases where one or both parties were drunk and/or high and may not correctly remember details. Cases where consent was ambiguous. Cases that are frivolous. This 40% also includes malicious accusations where the accused isn’t able to prove himself innocent but there’s also not enough evidence to prove guilt; as well as cases of actual rape where there is insufficient evidence to prosecute. This is an unsolvable problem with the crime of rape. Unless the victim has the strength and presence of mind to go to the hospital for a SANE exam, it can be devilishly hard to prove. The left’s answer: to simply prosecute accused men regardless of the merits of the case, has led to women abusing the system. After all, it’s an easy way to get revenge on someone you don’t like. This isn’t justice either. This is Crystal Mangum. In the cases currently before us, Moore’s case is 40 years old, and is a he-said-she-said. It likely can’t be criminally investigated, being beyond the statute of limitations. I would like to see him step aside and retire into obscurity where he belongs. However, unless and until he’s elected, there isn’t a whole lot anyone can do to force his hand. Nor can he be claimed as an exemplar of the GOP, as this information came out AFTER he won the primary election. In addition, the timing of the release of this information is probably the result of a WaPo attempt to win an otherwise impossible Senate seat for the Democrats. This also needs to be investigated. What did the Post know, and when did it know it? In Trump’s case, we have an ex-wife and an ex-girlfriend who apparently made false accusations against Trump during emotionally charged and bitter breakups. The ex-wife now explicitly states her accusations were false. Other cases against him include a woman who claims she was groped while sitting next to Trump on an airliner. A witness who was there claims nothing happened. Another claims that a hug and kiss greeting went on too long - a frivolous charge. Is Trump a predator? Possibly. But the multiple false claims against him make it hard to pick out real cases against the noise of those who make false accusations just because they hate his guts. People who cry wolf really screw things up when an actual wolf is on the loose. Conyer’s cases are also he-said-she-said cases, that are still being investigated. They’re far more recent than Moore’s (2015-2016). I can wait to see what the outcome of the investigation is before deciding he needs to go, but I expect you to demand his resignation if the charges are found credible. Franken’s case has produced photographic proof that he’s a pig. He needs to go. Period. Good post, RJ. Reasoned, discussive (if there is such a word) nicely stated. Regarding Moore, there's probably nothing that can be done. Statute of limitations is up -- it was only 3 years in Alabama at the time of these offenses. However, these offenses coupled with his being thrown off the bench twice should give voters pause. Regarding Trump, two things: (1) The Access Hollywood video and Trump's statements captured there; and (2) Trump's statement, I believe on that video, that he can do anything he wants to to women. There's more than enough there to warrant an investigation. I agree on the other 2. Really? So why aren't you demanding an investigation of Franken, Conyers, Pelosi, et al? If a 15 year old tape of Trump engaging in frivolous locker room talk is enough, then actual accusations should have already triggered the FBI to move in. Where are the midnight raids of Conyer's home? Where are the videos of Franken being frog marched into the courthouse? Oh, that's right, they are Party of the KKK capos, so they don't get arrested, regardless. That's for the "little people" and Pubs.

NONE of these links confirm what you said , Redleg... try again... if you THINK they did, please copy and paste the exact verbiage here... "In my 26 years working at Gadsden Mall, I never heard anything about Roy Moore being banned from the mall or any other mention of issues concerning him. As the Operations Manager overseeing Mall Security, I would have been aware of something like that." - Johnny Adams, employed by the Gadsden Mall for 26 years and was the Operations Manager for 14 years, overseeing mall security. We did have written reports and things. To my knowledge, he {Moore} was not banned from the mall." - Barnes Boyle, Former Manager of the Gadsden Mall (1981-1986). Mall officials told us they are not in possession of records that would identify who was banned in the late 1970s and 1980s. A Gadsden Mall spokeswoman told us: The 'report' was simply a regurgitation of rumors from 40 years ago. There is no evidence he was banned from anywhere. Moore was banned in the early 70's... not the 80's... and when did this man become "Operations Manager"... (the mall opened in '74 and he worked "somewhere there for 12 years when he was NOT the "Operations manager"... one might think that was a "promotion)... which would have made it "after" the ban... it could have been after the ban was lifted (or no longer enforced)... and Moore had stopped his stalking... This headline was in one of your links: "Gadsden locals say Moore's predatory behavior at mall, restaurants not a secret"

I normally find Goldberg to be right on the money, and I don’t really disagree with anything he says in this piece. But part of the reason we find ourselves in the current predicament is no one trusts the information available to them anymore. When relying on a court of public opinion overseen by an overwhelmingly liberal media establishment, it is reasonable to assume the Democrat will get a pass, and at least some of the information against the republican will turn out to be fabricated, or the release of the information will be perfectly timed to do maximum damage to the GOP. For example, I think the accusations against Moore are true, and that he should step aside. But I also find The Post’s publishing this after he won the primary an additional strike against their credibility as a news organization. Yes, The Post had a duty to publish this information. Good on them for doing that. It also had a duty to publish it in a timely manner that didn’t result in the appearance that it was doing so for openly partisan reasons. It failed miserably on that count. It isn’t any real surprise that people are automatically dismissing the reports for just that reason. I said on the last page, something to the extent that people who cry wolf really screw things up when there is an actual wolf on the loose. With the press being so openly partisan, we’re almost stuck relying on the legal system to properly vet these accusations. That isn’t good, because the legal system doesn’t catch everyone. Moore is long beyond the statute of limitations on his accusations, and Trump’s mostly amount to piggish behavior rather than crimes. Conyer’s case likely won’t go beyond the ethics committee. Franken’s case is the least troubling of the four in terms of behavior, but because there’s photographic proof, it’s a slam dunk. But here we are... trying to sort all of this out with the same WaPo that is so hopelessly biased, that it wrote a fact check piece on Mike Pence, giving him “3 Pinocchio’s” for a statement that the “fact checkers” admitted was absolutely true. www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2017/11/28/pences-claim-that-more-americans-are-working-today-than-ever-before-in-american-history/?utm_term=.5c144db283d5

RJ, 2 quick comments:
(1) In understand what you say about Pence. More people are employed than ever before (a claim that President Obama could also have made). But, as a percentage of the population, it's a lesser number. Apples or oranges?
(2) You once again slam the liberal media. However, the problem also exists on the right. A study a while back showed that Fox is accurate maybe 18% of the time. 18%!! That means that 82% of the they are inaccurate or outright lying. (That same study showed MSNBC at about 25% accuracy). Add Breitbard to the mix and, if you follow them, you're still dumb as hell. I'm not denying what you said. But be honest and point out the flaws on the other side too.

But, as a percentage of the population, it's a lesser number. Apples or oranges? Sorry, this isn’t an apples or oranges piece. This is a “fact check” that gave “3 Pinocchios” to a statement that is demonstrably a fact. If you want to write an article about why this fact is misleading and doesn’t tell the whole story, great, have at it. But if your purpose is limited to “is the statement a fact?” and you call a fact a fiction, you crush your own credibility. No matter how out of context or misleading a fact is, calling a fact fiction isn’t good for your credibility. Even more so when you have a reputation for partisanship, and your actions reinforce it. First, who did this study? If it comes from “politifact” or “Media Matters” or some other leftist group it’s only a study of its own confirmation bias. Second, media accuracy, and media bias are different things. The media has never been especially accurate. It was Twain that said “If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed. If you read the newspaper you’re misinformed.” Is Fox biased? Yes. I won’t even touch Breitbart for the same reason I won’t touch Salon. The problem is, Fox is the one major right-leaning news outlet. It is up against CNN, MSNBC, WaPo, NYT, and the major networks, all of which are all leftist.

I don't remember who did the study. You can search and find results. But it looks like you've already decided that any study would be biased.

Because when I searched, the first link that came up was politifact. A left-wing hit site. How am I supposed to evaluate your claims of studies and Republicans in trouble if you won’t provide any sources?

Again, more rumors. Nothing at all to them. We don't know whether that police officer was a Trump supporter, or one of the wackjobs that is part of the "resistance". Nor do we know whether he was actually a cop at the time, or just "heard about" it later. Again, if he were banned, there would be paperwork. Reports. Something. This is all just made up, or "remembered" after 40 years or more.

As usual, leave it to the Leftist propaganda to delineate sexual harassment. Basically, they are saying if it's a Party of Rapists, it's no big deal, or the women "had it coming". If it's a Pub, an offhanded compliment rates the death penalty. The goal is to preserve the perverts in the Party of Rapists/KKK, and to scorch any and all Pubs, whether the accusations are credible or not. Especially since a lot of them are paid for lies, coming straight out of the Party of Rapists/KKK coffers.

What were they "studying"? Fox has discrete news, and then opinion shows. The ones doing the "studying" almost always lump them in together, as if Fox is the same as MSNBC or CNN. Both of which intermix "news" with "opinion", so that one can't tell one from the other. MSNBC is 25% accurate? That shoots the study all to hell. No credibility any more.

Notice that you insist that "memories" of 40 years ago are not only valid, but rock solid proof, when there are no records, no news accounts, nothing concrete to back up the accusations. 4 of the "victims" say that nothing untoward happened on their dates with him, and all were of age to consent. The 5th is looking more and more like a paid stooge, and much of her story is falling apart. She was never an unimpeachable source to begin with. An admitted drug abuser, alcoholic, 3 divorces, and 'discipline problems' along with her financial problems. A perfect target for the fake news to pay off for her "accusations".

Yet you insist "it must be true" because some cop from then says he "heard about it", or "it was common knowledge". The fact that there is zero evidence, and that even those that were in a position to know back then claim it isn't true you find irrelevant.

But then Clinton was not "removed FROM office"... therefore she is NOT a "removed officer"... (you can't "REMOVE" her when she isn't there)... one must be impeached and removed FROM the office they hold while they are IN that office before that "disqualification" measure can apply... "The power of impeachment is limited to removal from office but also provides for a REMOVED OFFICER to be disqualified from holding future office." Then why were Democrats discussing impeaching Trump before he took the oath? I saw several of them on the gab fests talking about how it could be done, thereby preventing him from even taking the oath of office. Why would it be okay to do it to Trump, but not The Felon? Did you also see Muslims celebrating the fall of the twin towers from NJ?

Or are you claiming that businesses destroy all their records every few years? I know, for a fact, that if they do, they open themselves up to IRS problems, and probably other legal problems. So, if there were a ban, there would be something showing it. What you have is rumors and innuendo, from 40 years ago, by people that either have no idea other than "remembered" rumors, or faulty recollections. Nothing at all exists showing anything like a ban. How many of those "Gadsden locals" actually lived there then? How many of them are Party of the KKK? How many were older than, say, 10 at the time? Since the paper doesn't really ask those questions, we have no idea.
