Some typo's on that site Champ. Someone needs to give a good proof read. I would think that attention to detail is important for a cleaning company. Here's a sentence from the site. As wil all our cleanings, we a cleaning checklist to ensure each job we do is done to perfection. Fix those typos Champ. Still there. Potential clients probably love that attention to detail.

Still there. Potential clients probably love that attention to detail. Why do you care so much? The attention and intention has gotten downright creepy and disturbing. Stalkerish...

It's a reasonable criticism. I have, on seeing a poorly constructed website, refused to do business with a company in the past. My view is that if they can't be bothered to get something simple like that right, they're probably not going to do good work when I hire them, either. But, then, I'm a perfectionist and I don't like taking a chance hiring someone who might disappoint me. So far, it has worked for me. So far.

As far as I know it's been corrected, but please check, input is good. Sorry, I charge money to fix broken software. Why wouldn't you check it yourself? Your site isn't so large you need a dedicated IT professional to manage it full time. YOU ought to be on top of that, personally, at your company's current size. In ten years, if you've got hundreds of employees, it might be different.

I would however have proof read it before allowing it to be published.

By testing I meant, navigating to all pages and proofreading them, noting points for correction. Although HTML isn't terribly difficult (any decent book can get you started if you're interested; I recommend and use the O'Reilly series), he may well not have time to be a webmaster. But he needs to be able to know whether the guy he hired is actually worth the money he's charging.

Assuming a paid webmaster did the work, they just put up what they were given and didn't notice the typos; or they themselves made the typos. Either way I wouldn't be too pleased seeing it up there for months (or longer.)

Today we were awarded another post construction bid for a new build in Balto City. We need to hire badly. Maybe some posters, here, ought to apply. If their work is as good as the attention to detail they apply to "inspecting" your website, they should be superb employees. However, I agree with EY: First impressions on visiting a website can bring in business, or scare away business. Except I might add that if I know the "proprietor" to be of a good character and responsible manager of the business and that website has typos, I probably would make an exception (but would still urge the manager to get that website fixed).
