Of course even tiny droplets can contain the virus. That's basic virology. Indeed, one might argue that the Filoviridae (of which the Ebolas are members) have succeeded because one of the symptoms - hemorrhage - is so very good at spreading them.

Now they are saying that up to 70 people were involved in Duncan's care. What kind of protocol is that? The let's-see-just-how-far-we-can-spread-this-thing protocol?
"Typically, the nurses, doctors and technicians caring for a contagious patient in isolation would be treating other people as well, and going home to their families after decontaminating themselves. The hospital has refused to answer questions about their specific duties."

Some news organizations being totally irresponsible IMHO. Just saw one station reporting infections could hit 10k per week.

Obama is not responsible for the ebola outbreak in Africa. Many mistakes he has made but that is not one of them.

I don't care what it took, it was controlable Perhaps, but again you are shooting off at the mouth. President Obama has no more control over this hot zone than a kid picking his nose in Toledo. No flights? That would cripple our economy, which I don't think you want.

It certainly hasn't crippled economies in countries that have done it. And yes, Obama CAN do that. Like he did with Israel a couple months back, when people thought the planes might get shot down flying into Ben Gurion.

So they end up with no economy (and no money) and human lives there are the most devalued on earth. No thanks. I much prefer to put the economy in the position it deserves and then use the surplus resources, intellect and capital to attack public health deficiencies.

We already do not have direct flights to effected areas, not because of Obama, but because US airlines did not want to get sued. Instead of banning all flights into the US, how about he just stop giving visas to anyone who has been in one of the effected areas within the past month, or setup a quarantine camp in southern Texas where they can wait their 30,days along with the illegals caught . Even that little change would do something to slow down the disease here. As for aid, special rules and procedures if followed would still allow us to send aid, and when those workers came back they would just have to be quarantined if they wanted to quit the job before it was over. The military that we sent need the same quarantine upon return.

Sure that sounds good, but it is cheaper to setup these camps near the border, and frankly away from all the liberals.
