Yahoo! NewsApparently he has temporarily been roused from his stupor. No doubt because of the election. Yet there's still no mention of travel restrictions.

Was he stopped as he was going into his sixty first beg for money? Just long enough to actually say something about the situation he created by his incompetence?

Yes, that's exactly what happened. From further down the article: I suspect the real reason he cancelled his trip is because at this time of year it's getting too cold to play golf in New Jersey and Connecticut. Fact is this situation caught everybody, including the folks at The Center for Denial and Confusion, by surprise. The entire plant is so closely interconnected these days that as soon as the Ebola outbreak occurred in Africa every country on Earth should have been making plans as to how they were going to deal with it when it reached their shores. They didn't. And now that it's here those who should have been dealing with the situation months ago are rumblin, stumblin' and bumblin' trying to cover their asses. And The Leader? He could go a long way towards getting this situation under control by issuing a few of his famous Executive Orders. If he can violate the Constitution for political gain he can do it to save American lives. But he won't.

Spot on...and it is worth noting that they shut down airline traffic over the North Atlantic because of a volcano.
We are not, however, going to close down air traffic from West Africa where a disease with a 90% mortality rate is breaking out. (Double face palm)

What is most disturbing, aside from the utter ineptitude from Obama and the CDC(and some of that ineptitude born out of trying to tow the party "PC" line), is that it seems like you have Democrats saying "nothing to worry about, ebola isn't gonna affect you", putting the reputation of their hallowed leader above the safety of Americans.
Zombie apocalypse? Seems half of our country(D) are in fact some sort of zombies.

Of course those plans probably assumed shutting down air traffic to the affected parts of the world. Now it seems the affected parts of the world include Dallas, and perhaps Cincinnati. Instead it seems we need to spread the disease in order to be politically correct. So now we know that PC is a disease vector for Ebola.

The entire concept of "political correctness" is based on an attempt to evade evident reality....and to force others to do so as well.

While the U.S. seems to get cramps over restricting travel from abroad, I'm sure they won't have any problem keeping slaves American citizens from leaving their house even to get milk from the 7-eleven should an epidemic break out.

On the news this morning, they played a recording of Dr. Tom Frieden, the CDC director, not answering Congress' questions about whether the CDC and the White House had conversed about a travel ban with the affected nations, which Obama stupidly opposes. Let's just say all he did was tap dance. Couldn't even answer a "yes or no" question, "Did you discuss a travel ban with the White House?" Terrible, terrible administration. Utterly incompetent.

I love the narrative that we do not have a vaccine because of a funding reduction when at least 35million was spent on bonuses and research on why lesbians are fat. Not to mention that the sequester was Obamas idea, and he takes credit for reducing the deficit.

But they can spend millions on origami rubbers, fat lesbians, and all sorts of other nonsense. So, if they were having their budgets cut, why wasn't the first thing defunded the grants to PC idiocy? Why spend hundreds of thousands on giving cocaine to Russian snails instead of working on something like Ebola? Or enterovirus? Or stopping the smallpox and TB that's reentering the US with all of The Puppets illegal Democrats?

Nigeria is now Africa's largest economy. How much does Nigeria spend on Ebola research? How much does Africa spend? Maybe Africans don't think it is important enough to commit resources to?
The CDC spends Billions each year. Their published budget shows their priorities. Maybe the AID's lobbyists get the attention in Washington a little better than others?

First, I should have said Cleveland. That's the city where the Ebola infected nurse had gone to visit. Second, this isn't about vaccines. Viruses mutate often enough that we may never have an Ebola vaccine. This is about the CDC coming up with a solid strategy for containing the outbreak. Finally, the idea that the CDC, or any other federal agency is insufficient funded to do the job it is tasked with is INSANE. There is no federal agency that doesn't waste huge piles of taxpayer dollars every year doing stupid, and sometimes even counterproductive things. If these agencies were well run, they would be able to prioritize well enough no one would be able to raise all the questions about study is trying to figure out why fat people have trouble getting laid.

This travel ban stuff is not rocket science, folks. Here are some facts: There is a small area in Africa where this outbreak has occurred, so we are not talking about stopping flights from the entire continent...although we could, without too much difficulty. Think outbreak in MD vs flights from all over North America They aren't flying into every regional airport in the CONUS...just the ones that handle int'l travel. Think Dulles, JFK, and a few others. There are only around 100-200 people flying into these airports from the affected region daily. This is hardly an unmanageable number. Simple plan then: 1. Stop the incoming flights from those countries/affected area, period. Also within a 500 mile radius to thwart people who might otherwise try anyway. 2. Quarantine the ones that have landed. 3. Examine the airline travel/passport/credit card records of those that have already entered; find, quarantine, and monitor them. Use the FBI to do it, and tell them to treat it with high priority as a threat to national security. Would this be foolproof? No, nothing ever is. But it could greatly reduce the number of people we are letting in that might be infected, thereby lessening the spread of the disease. We have all the resources we need to do this. In fact, there is only one thing we need to stop this outbreak before it gets started. LEADERSHIP

Makes you wonder then, does The Puppet have ulterior motives? Is he trying to create a crisis big enough that he can claim "we don't need to change horses in the middle of the stream, so keep Dems ruining the country"? With the diseases his illegal Democrats are bringing in, Ebola, and all the scandals he's created, one wonders what his real goal is.

With the diseases his illegal Democrats are bringing in, Ebola, and all the scandals he's created, one wonders what his real goal is. Oh, for God's sake... are you for real? As a heart attack. He's uparmed the police, politicized the DOJ, IRS, EPA, FCC, Dept of Ed, and the FBI to the point that Stalin would be ecstatic. He's ignored or actively violated the Constitution on multiple occasions, always to the detriment of the country. He's actively invited hundreds of thousands of illegals to simply invade us, with no medical or criminal screening, just so they can vote in our elections, and elect more Marxists. He's intentionally ignored outbreaks of multiple diseases, many of which we had almost eradicated in this country, but brought in by his illegal Democrats. He's not only ignored crimes by various departments he's responsible for, but actively interfered and obstructed investigations. So why wouldn't I wonder what his real motives are, especially since he declared that he was going to 'fundamentally transform' the US into a third world country, incapable of even defending itself?

People speculated similarly about Bush and the various violations of the Fourth Amendment encoded into the Patriot Act. And it didn't happen. I doubt seriously there's anything past incompetence going on here. Obama is without question the worst president of my lifetime, but I don't think he plans a despotism.
