I rarely post or comment on threads about polls but this one is too good to pass up: Obama hits lowest approval rating of presidencyPresident Obama has reached his lowest approval rating in any Quinnipiac University national poll since being elected president, with 39 percent of registered voters now approving of his job performance and 54 percent disapproving. The numbers released Tuesday compare to a 45 percent/49 percent approval/disapproval split Oct. 1, before the partial government and problems with the rollout of his health care overhaul took hold. The previous low was a 41/55 split in October 2011 after that summer’s debt-ceiling standoff with Congress. For the first time, voters say by a 52 percent to 44 percent margin that Mr. Obama is not honest and trustworthy. “President Obama’s job approval rating has fallen to the level of former President George W. Bush at the same period of his presidency,” Mr. Malloy added.www.quinnipiac.edu/institutes-and-centers/polling-institute/national/release-detail? ReleaseID=1975

It should be a little alarming to the Democrats that the reason Bush's poll numbers were flagging was a pair of wars that weren't going to plan. Whereas the reason Obama's poll numbers are flagging is because of something the entire party considers a fantastic achievement that they've been trying to make happen for decades.

As bad as bho's numbers look: Congressional Approval Sinks to Record Low Current approval at 9% PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans' approval of the way Congress is handling its job has dropped to 9%, the lowest in Gallup's 39-year history of asking the question. The previous low point was 10%, registered twice in 2012. www.gallup.com/poll/165809/congressional-approval-sinks-record-low.aspx Bipartisan to boot

Ask people how their individual congress critters are, and it changes significantly.

I wonder if the poll sample is truly representative of the U.S. population...
It wouldn't surprise me to find that if a truly representative sample of the U.S. population were asked to name the Vice President, only a small percentage would get it correct. Nor do I think that the typical citizen actually knows who his/her congress critters are...

Mine is the only Republican in Maryland - and still a POS. Mostly for being a hypocrite. But he's better than the nozzle they got in Western Maryland thanks to O'Malice and his gerrymandering (the kind of gerrymandering that never bothers liberals... they're only concerned about the kind that takes place in Texas).
My senators are close to worthless; I used to like Babs okay, but she voted for the porkulus and lost my support forever.

And ranger j is right-bush got us into 2 wars and destroyed new orleans because he hates black people and went in the crapper (and just so you know bush's numbers didn't tank because he lost the left-he tanked because he lost the center and a good bit of the right). Barry's numbers are going down faster than a $5 hooker after implementing his namesake legislation. A million people in cali just got cut. I thought you'd like know.

Today's official used roughage.106,185 have selected a plan. That's not 106,185 people that are guaranteed in January to have a plan, mind you. I can chose plans too. Until I pay for them, that's all they are is choices. 404care.org did particularly well. They signed up fewer than 27,000 people. The good news? 379K people are now on the entitlement wagon. The caveat being of course that the people who lied to you for three and a half years have generated these numbers. Forward.

Gee can't others do what you guys did with Bush and pretend we didn't like him? Can we say all we knew he wasn't very good? Can we use the million excuses you all have for electing Bush twice? No? How convenient for y'all!!!
You guys voted him in as governor of Texas twice and as president United States twice and you pretend like you didn't know nothing about him. You even have the nerve to blame the Iraq war on Democrats.
what a joke.
