A still, small voice inside our heads, or maybe an ache in the stomach that doesn't hurt, but causes a slight discomfort when we are unsure if we should do something, shouldn't do anything, or just walk away. It can be difficult at times to know what to say or do, so try using the old adage; "What Would Jesus Do", when you are unsure. 2 Thessalonians 2:15-17 (NKJV) 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. 16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, 17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.

Sometimes we get so busy this time of year that we overlook people we come across in our daily lives. When we do that, we can miss out on an opportunity to show someone that God does love them. Hebrews 13:1 & 2 (NKJV) Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

Think on it, breathe it in & out, He already resides in you, so let the Holy Spirit loose in you. 1 Corinthians 16:13 & 14 (NKJV) 13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done with love.

Well, it is frustration Friday! Now you know so that when a situation arises that normally would elicit angst, anger, aggravation, you will be prepared. Just look inside to the Holy Spirit for your peace, compassion, understanding. 2 Corinthians 3:1-5 (NIV) Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield unto those who put their trust in Him. Philemon 1:4-7 (NKJV) 4 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, 5 hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, 6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. 7 For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

Are you going through struggles and are unsure what to say to our Lord, Christ Jesus? God gives us a starting a starting point..... Psalm 57:1-3 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by. 2 I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me. 3 He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.

You can change how a person feels about a day, change their day completely, just by expressing gratitude. Unexpressed gratitude is wasted, useless. So say thank you today, tell some one you love them, show them they matter. Psalms 92:1-4 (NKJV) It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night, 3 On an instrument of ten strings, On the lute, And on the harp, With harmonious sound. 4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.

We can say the words, "thank you", but they are meaningless without the correct actions. Do not just tell God you love Him, show Him by the way you talk, walk, live in this world. 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 (NKJV) 11 Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. 12 And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, 13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

For some who wake up today, it will seem as if they were just celebrating on the eve of the New Year, rather than ThanksGiving. Others are so thankful this day has finally arrived, the year seemed to drone on. Many are scared, scarred from trial, loss, those feelings rushing back at this time of year. So today, think of why you will celebrate tomorrow, think of those who can not celebrate for one reason of another, maybe even give them a call, an invite, if you are able. Psalm 50:12-15 (NKJV) 12 “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness. 13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High. 15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

Happy ThanksGiving! I am most thankful for God, Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit who fills me with comfort and has helped me get through many mistakes in my life. I am also thankful for each & everyone of you who God has put in my life, may you all have the peace, comfort, and joy of Jesus today. Colossians 2:4-7 (NKJV) 4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Oh, is there anything better, could anyone say something to you better than what Christ Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, with the will of God, is saying right now, to you. Ephesians 2:19-22 (NKJV) 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

It is always easier said, rather than done. With the holiday season now underway, the pressures to provide, to "keep up wth the Jones'" is greater than at any time of the year. Lost in all the sales and the quest for latest tech items is the peace and hope the Holy Spirit brings to each of us. He is the comforter, so trust in His hope, worry not about what is under the tree or in the drive way. Psalm 31:23 & 24 (NKJV) 23 Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. 24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.

God gave us laughter not just we could have a good time, visibly. But studies have shown the many benefits of laughter on the immune system, on blood flow, heart rate and even, calorie burning. While it is difficult to laugh during troubling times, that is mostly due to guilt. Society would say"how dare some one laugh when"..... Well, Christ Jesus took the guilt with Him, so laugh if it is all you can do at times, let God tickle you. Psalm 126:1-3 (NKJV) When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. 2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” 3 The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.

One reason God gave us a voice was so that we could sing. Did you know, singing releases endorphins, chemicals in the brain that make you feel good. This has been found to help relieve anxiety, lessen the affects of depression and increases blood flow. Increasing blood flow adds more oxygen into the blood for better circulation. So sing a song today, sure people may think you are silly, but hey, silly people have fun! 1 Chronicles 16:8-11 (NKJV) 8 Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! 9 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! 10 Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! 11 Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

The Apostle Paul was, past tense, speaking to the Colossians, today, Christ Jesus is saying this to us. Colossians 1:9-14 (NKJV) 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Most of us have the physical ability to stand up and dance while others have to sit and "chair dance". What ever your situation, dancing has many benefits, most physical, but studies have shown that dancing can also increase cognitive acuity in everyone. So, let loose the Holy Spirit, get up, sit down, lay down, and dance. It does a body, even a mind, good. Psalm 30:10-12 (NKJV) 10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper!” 11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

There are times throughout our day when we find our selves waiting for something to be done, or for someone. Patience is sometimes difficult to find, but concentrating on God, on our Lord, Christ Jesus, just singing to Him in our minds, or speaking to Him with our thoughts can help the time appear to fly by, help us find peace and yes, patience. 2 Thessalonians 3:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. 17 The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle; so I write. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Many today suffer from a lack of sleep, while others may get too much. God told us to rest as a way of honoring Him and because of the many benefits for our physical and mental health. Resting gives our minds & bodies a chance to "reboot", to "cool down" and helps it avoid a total system failure or melt down. Too much rest and the muscles become weak from lack of use, the mind gets cloudy and there is no chance of meatballs....... Hebrews 4:9-12 (NKJV) 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

With the New Year approaching quickly, have you thought about a resolution yet? Most people admittedly do not stick with their resolution for very long, a month or two. Some make it half the year before they give in, give up, simply because it is too, what, difficult? Time consuming? Have you thought about using next year with the intent to draw closer to God? What ever the resolution, if you stick with it, your life will change. Psalm 23:1-3 (NKJV) The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

Well, today the rest of the country gets a look at winter weather. Make sure your windshield washer fluid is winter ready. There is nothing worse than having a salt dust covered windshield, trying to use the washer fluid only to find out it is frozen. Be safe out there people. Psalm 117:1 & 2 (NKJV) Praise the Lord, all ye nations! Laud Him, all you peoples! 2 For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!

It is days such as yesterday, even today, during foul weather, that we can show Christ Jesus lives through our actions. From letting some one over in traffic, to being patient as they cautiously drive down the road, to helping some one shovel or just checking on them if their power is out. There are many actions we can take, many feelings we can express during bad times that show Christ in us. Isaiah 58:10 & 11 (NKJV) 10 If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. 11 The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

The first gift was life, the second was forgiveness. As difficult as it may seem, is there someone in your life whom you can forgive, even if, it is yourself? Isaiah 42:5 & 6 (NKJV) 5 Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it: 6 “I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations.

If you had a never ending supply of "what ever you need", you would never worry about those needs. This is how God wants us to feel now, whether we currently have everything, or need more of what ever. God knows our needs, so trust Him to provide, He has until now, hasn't He!?! Isaiah 12:2& 3 (NKJV) 2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’” 3 Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation.

One does not have to "be smart" to gain knowledge, nor live a long life to have wisdom. They come from our Lord, Christ Jesus, in His word. As we read we gain His knowledge, the more we know of Him, the wiser we become. Proverbs 3: 21-23 (NIV) 21 My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; 22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. 23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.

If you were to make a "to-do list" starting with when you first get out of bed, until you lay down for the night, where would prayer, talking with God, land? In the top three? Top five? Top 10? If not, then when? Isaiah 55:1-3 (NKJV) “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.
