I have a lot of respect for Dr. Carson but someone is going to have to explain to me how being a world famous neurosurgeon qualifies him to be POTUS. We just elected a "community organizer" who voted present every time a stand on an issue was asked of him....with the thinnest resume of anyone ever who has held the office. Twice. I'd take my chances with a highly trained doctor who has actually accomplished something productive in his life. But the other posters here are correct....he won't run. You might want to check out Obama's voting record as a Senator... and the resumes of some other office holders... (start with ones like Harry Truman, Benjamin Harrison, and even Abraham Lincoln)... I think you'd be surprised... because obviously, you haven't looked... I love those mouse ears...

I prefer new style politicians for once, persons who follow the laws and have no political experience. We've come to that. More accurately, we've come back AROUND to that. The Founding Fathers saw political service as a duty, and a probably unwanted interruption from a life of industry and enterprise. They never envisioned career politicians that would seek power as an end unto itself, for gratification and personal enrichment. Or, more accurately, they assumed that if any such did come to the roiled surface of American politics, the people would simply take them out and shoot them. At times, I regret that that is not the case.......

So, telling the truth about the Marxist's dehumanizing of any and all opposition is now a " stupid remark"? How many times has Dingy Harry called the Koch Bros "unAmerican", while sending the BLM goons out to possibly kill a rancher so his son can make millions in a land deal? How many times has The Puppet illegally rewritten "his" law so that those that will be destroyed by it won't be destroyed until after Dems can lie their way back into office? Harry Reid doesn't dispatch anyone for the Department of the Interior... Yeah, old Harry has no political clout in D.C. at all. Now about that ocean front property in Iowa....

What's worse is if he did he would probably turn out to be an egomaniac as pointed out by EY. I would like to see someone who has accomplished something in US society besides convincing other people to give him money be elected for a change. Someone who made a product, ran a business, or provided a service, not just another empty suit law degree career politician. Frankly that will not happen because to actually have done something you will have made mistakes, any mistakes nowadays are blown out of proportion to the extent that it makes them unelectable. We are doomed to elect career politicians who have done NOTHING hence made no mistakes. But after being elected like Obama everything they do is a mistake

If you want to think Ole Harry is behind all this... you just go right ahead... I don't... plenty of other BLS land in Nevada other than the Gold Butte area...

Actually, the piece of land that Harry may have an indirect interest in... via his son, an attorney dedicated to solar power... is in Laughlin, Nevada... where the Chinese want to build a solar energy facility... BLM land has long been made available to assist in the development of alternative energy sources... Laughlin is over 210 miles southwest of Gold Butte...

What is also true is that in order for the Chinese to build a solar energy facility in Laughlin, they have to figure out where to relocate the endangered tortoise population in Laughlin, and one of the preferred locations for that relocation is... wait for it... Gold Butte. But that can't happen because Mr. Bundy's cattle are in the way.

You don't really think the Obama administration would let something as silly and irrelevant as the law get in the way of their plans, do you?

I would like to see a 15 year lifetime term limit for public service of any type, so someone can get elected for local, state, or fed but can only do so within that total 15 year span. Hopefully this would bring more producers into office.

Personally, anyone who makes the statement that "The Lord called me into Politics" would immediately not get my vote. Michele Bachmann "God Calling on me to Run" Rick Santorum. Herman Cain. Rick Perry. Tim Pawlenty. Mike Huckabee. Sarah Palin. George W Bush. See a pattern here? Many do.

I can understand the sentiment, it seems that to get elected though every president we have had has had to profess their religious nature. Obama himself did. So I guess you would prefer that they keep it to themselves, problem is then they can't get elected. I wonder when the first openly atheist politician will get elected to a high office. (Do you know if one already has?)
