Professional life-long politicians are a cancer eating away at the liberty we have. Does this sentiment extend to a Supreme Court justices? why not , they aren't immune IMO

I wonder when the first openly atheist politician will get elected to a high office. (Do you know if one already has?) There have been some presidents who had a rather casual approach to their faith, but no openly atheistic presidents. I wonder which would cause the Republicans to melt down fastest? An openly gay president or an openly atheistic one?

Interesting question, since Blacks are not really in favor of gay marriage, and seem to also be religious it might cause a melt down on the left as well.

This is from two years ago, and I bet this trend has continued: "The expected backlash among blacks to President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage has yet to materialize. And a new Washington Post-ABC survey suggests that black opinion is very quickly moving the other way, with a majority of African Americans now saying they support same-sex marriage. Fifty-nine percent of blacks now say they support same-sex marriage, an 18-point jump since the president's announcement of his own support two weeks ago. Fifty-three percent of Americans now believe that same-sex marriage should be legalized, which also marks a substantial spike since 2006, when just 39 percent of those polled thought it should be legalized." www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/23/black-shift-on-gay-marriage_n_1540160.html

I can understand the sentiment, it seems that to get elected though every president we have had has had to profess their religious nature. Obama himself did. So I guess you would prefer that they keep it to themselves, problem is then they can't get elected. I wonder when the first openly atheist politician will get elected to a high office. (Do you know if one already has?) "Until he lost his seat in 2012, Californian Democrat Pete Stark used to be only self-declared atheist in Congress. Now there are none." link
Interestingly, there has only ever been one Catholic president and there has never been a Jewish or Muslim one.
Interestingly too, that Catholics and Jews are all we have on the Supreme Court. And I would bet that the high court gets a Muslim before one is elected president. That's kind of a no-brainer.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Other forums have the rule of what happens there stays there. You don't get around much do you? Why don't you go and fetch that 'post' that is the 'reminder of those there just like you'. You made the claim, you post the link. Perhaps the question about posting about other forums should be directed at the Moderators.
