Never should have been big news... nothing could be proven and had these women wanted to pursue their claims... they should have done it years and years ago...
Although I don't watch Cosby... I wish him and those he has inspired over his many years well... and Happy Holidays...

There are going to be some very disappointed posters in this thread.

No worries... they won't be "engaging" you or me...

He won't be charged for the 1975 allegations because the statute of limitations has run out. However, accuser number 26 came forward today, and the event she describes took place in 2008. Her story is similar: she met him at the Playboy Mansion, he drugged her, and she woke up to discover Cosby licking her toes and pleasuring himself. When she asked what he was doing he ran from the room. She said she thinks she woke up because he bit one of her toes. She said nothing because she wanted to become a Playmate and felt that reporting an incident at the Mansion would torpedo those chances (she's certainly right about that). She is now speaking to Los Angeles police.
This is the 26th woman to come forward.

That wasn't Bill Cosby... it was Dick Morris...

Sad over his admission. This will ruin him for good.

I hope he is destroyed, I hope they take everything from him and I hope the two states where the statute of limitations has not run out will press charges. I don't care if they don't have enough to prosecute, he needs public humiliation. What a pathetic piece of stuff. Those poor women have been judged and humiliated for coming forward, I admire their bravery.

Men have been taking women out for decades, getting them drunk, and taking advantage of the situation... are they going after all those men now?... or is it just Bill Cosby?...
BTW... I've never really liked Bill Cosby...

Boutwell. While cosby is wrong you make a good point.
I guess it only matters for those in the public eye

I've never really liked Bill Cosby... If the one molested comes forward and files the proper paperwork on whoever it was, and police investigation finds their complaint justified in the timeframe indicated, the victim deserves their day in a court of law. Just because a predatory idiot thinks from years past that he has some God given right because he has a penis to pray on an unwilling/doped/drunk victim doesn't make it so. Definitely need to update their dating tactics or pay the price...welcome to the 21st century, equality and justice for all.

I've never really liked Bill Cosby... I think if most men were honest with themselves they would admit to using tricks to get women in bed, alcohol is just the most common one. Cosby has, of course, overstepped the line and will suffer for it, his career is pretty well shot. But his crimes although bad can hardly be called heinous, there are far worse cases of abuse for that word. I wonder how many women would admit to using underhand methods to get their man?

Drugging women and then having sex with them while they are unconscious is rape. It's much, much worse than "underhanded". The exculpatory attitudes I've read on this thread explain why this sort of thing has gone on for so long: the wealthy and powerful regard everyone else as their playthings, to be used as they like and then discarded. And here we have some people saying it's, "boys being boys". This disgusts me.

And men were created to chase women... were it not so, the human race would have died out thousands of years ago...

And ole saying is that if a couple puts a penny in a jar for every time they have "sexual relations" before they get married... then take a penny out every time they have "sexual relations" after they are married... the penny jar may never be emptied...

The problem is that Cosby conveyed himself as a wholesome family man that could be trusted. Instead he used his reputation as a means to satisfy his lust. He betrayed his fans, mentors, and parents alike. He lied to us and took from us; at one time it was nice to believe that someone as great as Cosby could exist and now we don't have that anymore.

Another actor... like Ronald Reagan... I understand... so many folks do... And I don't know how Cosby portrayed himself in his personal life... it could be entirely different than what you all saw on TV... maybe that's why I was never attracted to him...

And men were created to chase women... were it not so, the human race would have died out thousands of years ago... Chasing and molesting/raping are two entirely different things. Lucky you, having never had to walk a mile in someone else's shoes who is petrified they are going to lose their job because they won't "play the game". Perhaps it's time to quietly slip back into your cave and take your club with you.

Men do have some power over women... and women do have some power over men... I'm just not sure just which has the most...

Men do have some power over women... and women do have some power over men... I'm just not sure just which has the most... Sure. But you are attempting to conflate the "battle of the sexes" or "the grand game of romance" - however you care to put it - with RAPE, which Cosby, by the words from his own mouth, committed. They are NOT the same. Worse, the dismissive attitude that you and a few others have displayed is part of the problem. The idea that there isn't a dividing line between courtship and assault is false and dangerous. It's absurd positions like this one that have convinced me you're mostly here to get folks riled up, because somehow that fulfills you.

No, I'm just making a general statement... which is true... you are wrong again... as usual... And I haven't heard Cosby admit to rape... when did he do that?...

No, I'm just making a general statement... which is true... you are wrong again... as usual... Disingenuity from you. Color me surprised. And I haven't heard Cosby admit to rape... when did he do that?... You don't pay much attention to the news. Go do that. He - in sworn testimony - admitted he gave a woman Quaaludes and then had sex with her. There is no world in which that is not rape.
